Case management services for families with children.
Tri-County has been identified by the RI Department of Children, Youth and Families, as a resource center for parents and guardians struggling with youth portraying serious or dangerous behavior. Our team of caring and highly trained case managers will conduct a thorough family assessment, and provide counseling, support and referrals when needed.
The Youth Diversionary Program provides case management services for families with children age 9-17 years old to address issues which are affecting the youth and family’s emotional, physical, psychological and social well-being. The case manager will meet with the student/s for 12 weeks in school, the home or a community center. Referrals come from truancy courts, Juvenile Hearing Boards, schools, Family Care Community Partnership (FCCP), youth centers, police and self –referrals. The goals of the program are to assist with school and family issues, provide information on risk taking behaviors and how to avoid them, assist in setting goals that the child wants to achieve and connect family to other area resources.
There is no cost to this program and the child must be between the ages of 9 and 17 years old.
Residents of Charlestown, Exeter, Hopkinton, New Shoreham, Narragansett, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown, Westerly and West Greenwich are eligible for the TCCAA Youth Diversionary Program. All residents of these areas are eligible, regardless of income status.
