Youth Sports Programs
The Tri-County Community Action Agency offers young people in grades K – 8 year round organized athletic opportunities at our facility located on 33 Maple Avenue in North Providence. Our CEO has made a commitment to utilize our 6500 square foot gymnasium to provide year round organized athletic leagues for youth within the community. With childhood obesity being a nationwide epidemic and more and more young people showing signs of diabetes, it is imperative that youth have an opportunity to participate in sports and recreational programs. Through a grassroots effort, TCCAA has been able to serve over 10,000 different young people since 2010 in a diverse cross section of organized athletic leagues, including:
Indoor Soccer (winter)
Floor Hockey (spring)
Flag Football (fall)
One of the key highlights of our sports program is the affordability. The cost of registration is only $30 per player, with most equipment included. Scholarships are available to ALL families in need. Moreover, we are pleased to be able to connect less fortunate families to critical services that will help stabilize them in a time of need.
In addition, we have also run midnight basketball leagues for young adults ages 18 to 24, as well as girls-only basketball leagues. Each year we serve about 1,200 different young people.
