Melissa Ferdinandi, APRN Family Medicine Tri-County is excited to welcome Melissa to the practice! Melissa is a Board Certified family nurse practitioner, with years of experience as a primary care provider in community health settings, managing chronic illness and individuals with behavioral healthcare needs. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University, and her PhD in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. Melissa enjoys activities such as skiing, sailing, bicycling, and hiking. She loves to read and enjoys spending time with her family, two sons, and two dogs. Melissa is now accepting new patients of all ages.
Maria Gilman, APRN Family Medicine Maria joined Tri-County in 2017 and is board-certified in adult primary care and women’s health. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Salve Regina University, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree at the MGH Institute of Health Professionals. Maria is highly experienced in chronic disease management, treatment of acute illness and providing primary care services for adolescents, women and men throughout the lifespan. Maria’s goal is to practice in a holistic model, involving patients in their wellness. Maria is currently accepting new patients at both the Johnston and North Providence health center locations.
Wilfredo Giordano-Perez, MD Family Medicine Tri-County welcomed Dr. Giordano-Perez to the practice in September, 2017. Dr. Giordano-Perez is the Medical Director at Tri-County and Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University where he also earned his Doctorate in Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Giordano-Perez enjoys caring for patients of all ages, and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in adult primary care and preventative medicine, community health, child and adolescent care, LGBTQ+ care, global health, and the treatment of substance use disorders. He brings to his career in medicine a genuine compassion for his patients, and a dedication to caring for the under served. An advocate for health and human rights, Dr. Giordano-Perez is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He is fluent in Spanish.
Saima Kane, APRN Family Medicine Saima is a Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC), and licensed by the state of Rhode Island to provide family-centered health care to patients of all ages. She joined the Tri-County team in 2015. Saima attended Rhode Island College where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Boston College where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree. Her scope of practice includes health promotion, disease prevention, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic health care problems. Saima is also fluent in Hindi and Urdu. In her spare time, Saima enjoys travel, gardening and practicing meditation. She is accepting new patients.
Amato Polselli, MD Pediatrician Dr. Polselli has been part of the Tri-County team since 2008. And is affectionately known to many of his patients and our Health Center Team as “Dr. P.!” He completed his undergraduate degree at Providence College, and received his Doctorate of Medicine degree at Karl-Franzens University of Graz School of Medicine. Dr. Polselli completed his residency in pediatrics at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. Dr. Polselli practices pediatrics at our Johnston location. Dr. Polselli is also fluent in German. In his spare time, Dr. Polselli enjoys cooking, fishing and travel.
Edmundo Smith, APRN Family Medicine Tri-County welcomes Edmundo Smith, a Board Certified, dedicated family nurse practitioner with more than ten years of experience in health care. Edmundo earned his Master of Science in Nursing degree from Regis College. He is highly trained in providing family medical care, including evaluation and treatment of chronic and acute medical conditions from birth throughout the entire life cycle. Edmundo has a special interest in the education of patients with cardiac disease, diabetes, asthma, and weight management to fully engage patients in their health care. He is fluent in English and Spanish and also speaks Portuguese and Cape Verdean Creole. In his spare time, Edmundo enjoys spending time with his seven children and wife and his dog “Shogun”. He is also a sport enthusiast who practices Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Edmundo is now accepting new patients of all ages.
Rose Tilus, APRN Family Medicine Tri-County is also excited to welcome Rose Tilus to our team in mid-June! Rose is a family nurse practitioner with a focus on providing comprehensive quality care to her patients. She is Board Certified, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Rhode Island. Rose brings with her years of experience in caring for patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension. She has a special interest in working with patients with chronic medical conditions, and improving the health outcomes of individuals and families with diverse cultural backgrounds. She is fluent in French Creole. Rose is accepting new patients of all ages.
